Time share Oil on board 31x40cm SOLD
The title of this artwork refers to the shared use of my bed between me and my Bengal cat, Polka. Painted in a realist style, the luxurious quality of the cat's silky fur is almost palpable, as is the nature of his life style. Painted in a realist style this painting would bring glamour as well as calm to any bedroom

Fly Oil on board 31x26 cm £350
An oil painting of a fly, painted in a realist style. Perhaps this could be described as a democratic painting, taking into account the humble fly, which most of us see as an irritant, but which plays its part in the natural scheme of things.
Cat
Oil on board 40x30 cms SOLD
Almost completely in silhouette, this simple sketch of a painting more or less embodies ‘catness’.
Unwelcome Oil on board 26x31 cm £400
A brooding semi abstract landscape with an owl in the centre, stumbled across in the day time. The title suggests the feeling of intrusion by human onlookers into a natural, almost sacred place, and in turn, the unwelcome presence of the owl, as less predatory birds and animals notice it
Horses

This dramatic sketch of horses galloping towards the viewer is striking, expressing speed, depth and perspective.

Cows drinking in the evening
Oil on board 40x30 cms SOLD
This is a quick painting of cows around a trough, drinking in the evening as the sun goes down in the background. The whole foreground has been painted over an orange ground, which emerges over the jagged brush marks suggesting the immediate shadowy environment. The lighting which picks up parts of the cows gives a sense of the day fast slipping away and the shadows taking over. Painted during the 2020 pandemic.
